We recently took part in the Elite Package at Newberry Experience to celebrate my father-in-law’s 50th birthday. It was only right he celebrated his 50th by experiencing the .50cal Sniper Rifle! We were immediately drawn to Newberry Experience after seeing so much positive feedback online, and that reputation was enough to make us travel over four hours to take part. We even planned our accommodation around the experience and made a full weekend of it, staying at Center Parcs Sherwood Forest. The experience certainly didn’t disappoint. From our very first phone enquiry to the final round fired, Ady, the owner and instructor, was nothing short of professional. His knowledge and expertise were immediately evident, and he explained everything clearly and thoroughly. The whole experience genuinely felt like the ultimate one-to-one session, exactly as the package promised. We had plenty of rounds with each rifle, which we felt represented excellent value for money. Seeing the tight groupings after each set was also satisfying, not that any part of it was competitive with the rest of the group.. Shooting the .308, .338 and .50 cal was an experience we certainly won’t forget in a hurry. Each rifle was incredible in its own right, and all were clearly very well maintained. Overall, it was an absolutely fantastic experience and one we’ll be recommending to family and friends in the future. Absolutely brilliant experience from start to finish. Ady’s knowledge and expertise really make the day, he’s incredibly knowledgeable, explains everything clearly and has a great way of making the experience enjoyable and relaxed while still being thoroughly professional. Getting the opportunity to shoot the sort of rifles and firearms that most of us have only ever seen on TV or in films was something genuinely different. There’s a great selection, plenty of time to enjoy the experience, and Ady’s enthusiasm for what he does really comes across. I also thought it represented excellent value for money. It never felt rushed or like you were being moved through on a conveyor belt; it felt personal, well organised and like Ady genuinely wanted you to get the most from the day. If you’re in the East Midlands, or even if you have to travel a little further,  I’d thoroughly recommend it. From the moment we met Adrian we knew he knew what he was talking about. Made us feel totally at ease and absolutely no ego from an instructor who’s world renowned! Cannot fault his approach to people and teaching. Adrian took us through each weapons system, its capabilities and its limitations.  Through his expert guidance we managed to get 6 rounds on steel at 1200m in very very windy conditions! I couldn’t recommend Newbury anymore. From the first contact with Adrian to arrange the perfect birthday trip our experience has been exceptional. The day itself was perfectly planned. With his highly experienced coaching approach we moved through increasing calibres to improve confidence while maintaining absolute enjoyment. Absolutely brilliant experience, worth every penny - I’d spend money just to chat with Ady the owner, very interesting and friendly guy full of amazing stories. Onto the event, we purchased the elite package - allowing us to shoot 3 sniper rifles with different calibre rounds (30 x 308 rounds, 10 x 338 magnum rounds and 7 x 50 cal rounds) just that alone is worth the money for the experience and quality of the kit used, however the smiles grew bigger and bigger the more shots we fired and the more accurate we got, Ady spent time talking about the different weapons and calibre rounds and was a fantastic coach talking us through everything to get the best out of our day, is it cheap? No, but you get what you pay for and the instructor, the knowledge, the weapons, the ammunition and just the constant smiles throughout the whole event make it worth every penny and more, if you’ve ever thought about doing an event like this - just do it, you will have an incredible time. Absolutely fantastic I’ve always wanted to experience firing a real gun and this place was spot on. Ady the instructor explained and showed the safety precautions and was brilliant also explained a bit about each gun and the history of the site Can’t wait to go again and experience the bigger gun . Also his wife made a lovely cup of coffee
